From County Fairs to Harvest Celebrations, Auburn’s local life comes alive through legendary festivals throughout the year and everyone’s invited. In a world where experiences can be transplanted from one destination to another, Auburn has held on to its sense of place and, more importantly, its sense of identity. Twice a month Auburn hosts a classic cruise nite and the streets rumble with old school cars. You’ll discover everything from the thrills of a demolition derby to the exceptional musicians of Placer County’s renowned symphony.

And twice a year we host two renowned endurance events, the Western States 100-mile trail run and the unique Tevis Cup, a world-famous equestrian endurance event, both of which conclude in Auburn.

AUBURN COMMUNITY HARVEST FESTIVAL

Located in Auburn’s Recreation Park. This event features live music, giant pumpkin and scarecrow contests, arts and crafts booths showcasing local artisans, carnival games, pony rides, a costume contest, and a parade for young and old alike.

Auburn Cruise Nite draws 300+ classic cars 1972 or older to Lincoln Way in Auburn. This family friendly event also features music and food vendors. Get there early to get a spot if you plan on showing your car. (No motorcycles; No pets.)

MOUNTAIN MANDARIN FESTIVAL

Celebrating the annual crop of delicious, foothills-grown mandarins. Local growers will sell thousands of pounds of fresh mandarins and gift baskets, accompanied by all the free samples you like. Join in the fun with food, music, artisan crafts, and activities featuring the mandarin.

PLACER ARTIST STUDIOS TOUR

The Placer Artists Studios Tour is the largest and longest-standing Visual Art Studio Tour in the region. This annual self-driving tour features 100+ visual artists in Placer County studios spanning Colfax to Granite Bay and Roseville.

WESTERN STATES 100-MILE ENDURANCE RUN

The world’s oldest 100-mile trail race. The Run starts in Olympic Valley, near the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, and ends 100.2 miles later in Auburn. In the decades since its inception in 1974, Western States has come to represent one of the ultimate endurance tests in the world.

GOLD COUNTRY FAIR

Held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, this largescale event features a carnival, fantastic food and vendors, still exhibits, agricultural exhibits, a junior livestock auction, a demolition derby, Kids World, and more.

AUBURN SYMPHONY

Placer County’s premier community orchestra. Supported by an amazing level of skilled musicians from the area, the orchestra has been inspiring the community and audiences since 1987.

THE TEVIS CUP

The world’s best known and most difficult endurance horseback trail ride. Watch hundreds of equestrians finish this challenging 100-mile one-day ride, which concludes in Auburn.
