There’s no place like home for the holidays! Although home may seem a bit different this time of
year, you can still bring a touch of warmth and magic wherever you may be. Charming Old Town
Auburn is a one stop shop for all of your holiday needs, and will surely bring you the touch of
warmth and familiarity of home.

When I was younger, my grandma would take my sister and I to Old Town Auburn to visit the
cutest home décor shop, The Front Porch. Within the walls of this gorgeous brick historical
building, you’ll find yourself immersed into a world of Christmas with décor like wreaths,
signage, and small trinkets. The Front Porch rotates their items seasonally, therefore it’s always
a pleasure and a treat to return year-round.

Old Town Auburn is also a true treasure for the neatest vintage shops. Fresh faces, Lady of the
Canyon Vintage and Ragged Glory Trading Co feature a stellar assortment of vintage clothing
and handmade products. They’re the perfect shopping stops if you’re searching for vintage
leathers, jeans, and killer fabrics. You definitely can not find these digs at big box stores!
Sierra Moon is the go-to for a premiere full service jewelry store experience in Old Town Auburn.
If you’re planning on an engagement, in need of jewelry repair, or desiring a custom
one-of-a-kind design, add Sierra Moon to your must-visit list! Their attention to detail is
immaculate and their artistry is innovative.

Local art holds a dear place in the hearts of Auburn. Old Town Gallery is a cooperative gallery
featuring nearly 50 artists! You can often find one of the showcased artists working at the shop,
and it’s a pleasure to meet them and learn about their creative journey!

It’s no secret… You can find me at Typewriter and Moss, a curated handmade goods boutique
that features local artists and makers! The shop is a combination of Rose Apothecary meets
local art collective. From local poetry books, to handcrafted jewelry, and incredibly chic leather
bags and wallets, you can’t help but leave the shop without wanting to bring everything home
with you (Trust me, I have a hard time, too).

The cutest boutique, Zhüsh Modern, is only two doors down from Typewriter and Moss on
Commercial Street. You can find a beautifully curated selection of size inclusive women’s
clothing, local provisions like North Fork Chai’s chai concentrate (OMG if you haven’t tried it you
need to), and unique treasures!

For the young and young at heart, I enjoy shopping at Totally Cool and Old Town Hobby. The
knick knacks at Totally Cool will make you belly laugh for hours! I intentionally shop at Old Town
Hobby for all of my puzzles, board games, and trading card needs to keep my dollars local. You
can find Old Town Hobby inside the Gold Rush Plaza, which is home to six unique shops that
carry items like jewelry, hats, folkart, home decor, and metal work!
